Im
anxious to see what happens here, after this little sabbatical
weve had. Working out the kinks in the emotional department,
focusing, plotting, rehearsing, planning, praying
I
thank you for sticking around and hope to have you along for
the ride. New songs, new tours, new venues, returning to the
old ones
I can hardly wait and am on goose bump medication
already. Consider this your call to come out of the wood work.
Spread the word. Print up t-shirts. Whether you came to gig
awhile ago, a few years ago or whatever
I hope you enjoyed
it
and I hope maybe some small part of it found a special
place with you. I have heard wonderful stories about some
of these songs and what they have meant to some and what theyve
even pulled people out of
be it whatever funk happens
to find you on any given day. That truly makes it worth it
for me and for us a band. So dont just consider yourself
a fan or a listener. Rather, you lend just as much voice to
the music as anyone. Its just noise until it finds someplace
to resound in. Music is tough business, just like any I suppose.
But throwing your feelings out there to a new crowd of faces
always has that split second moment where youre just
not quite sure what might happen. God bless ya if you headline
everywhere you play. Im just blessed, thankful and grateful
to God to be able to play and have some folks listen. I really
dont mean for that to sound as sappy as it probably
does. 5am either makes the thought process seem incredibly
clear or makes you unable to detect the cheese factor. Im
not sure which applies here
apologies again. But that
feeling is something I live for. The feeling I get when I
can see someones foot tapping at a show, even if rest
of crowd seems largely distracted, that can carry me and make
a great night. You can imagine when someone sings along! So
thank you, thank you, thank you to all those who have come
and listened. If you left humming the tunes or it caused you
to think, re-evaluate, or even step slightly out of a comfort
zone, then you played a huge part in this and have helped
make this so reward able for me and the band. Me
the
guy who brought you "cheese curds" on the Satellite
Soul board. Some artists feel lousy when a venue only has
25,000 people who opted to come hear them instead of the usual
30,000. I guess I dont have too much to worry about
when I just need a tapping foot.
